Photography/Video Show NEC

DETAILS

OUTWARD TRAVEL FROM BURNLEY

08:04 dep Burnley Manchester Road to Preston arr. 08:46 09:17 dep Preston arrives Birmingham International 11:19 (no changes on this train)

If you have a senior railcard, the standard fare cost on this train on Trainline (checking online on Friday 1st Feb) was £17.15, both ways. On Trainline with the booking fee on top it comes to about £34.30.

Without a railcard, the Adult fare is around £26 OUT and £33.75 RET – a total of around £60.

An Anytime Return ticket on the same route is £116

The Photography / Video Show is in the NEC which is a five to ten minute walk which goes from the platform, up the escalator and down the concourse which is all covered in.

There are several bars, fast food places and shops to grab something to eat here.

(Or take your own grub)

The show is divided into two for the first time this year. There will be a Photography Show and a separate Video Show.

The entry cost is £14.95 for Adults, Age 60 or over £11.95, Students £11.95 (need to show student card or proof) (We could get a discount only on a group booking for TEN or more tickets.)

To book your tickets see https://www.photographyshow.com/registration

There is lots to see and do in the NEC. Stands, lectures, demonstrations, things to photograph, gear to try out. You will be walking around a lot and on a Monday it will still be busy, but less so than the weekend. There are not many places to sit other than the floor. Three hours in the NEC is ample to get around and see plenty. (That’s what I have found anyway.)

RETURN TRAVEL TIMES Birmingham International to Preston

Dep 14:53 arr Preston 16:52 (no changes) Dep Preston 17:35 arrives Burnley Manchester Road 18:20

The next train from Birmingham to Preston is the 15:38 which has a change at Wolverhampton and doesn’t get back to Burnley Manchester Road until 18:51.

If you are interested in me getting group tickets for the show please let me know by Wednesday 6th February.

PLEASE NOTE: I won’t be booking rail travel, you’ll need to arrange this yourself. If we can get TEN people or more who want to go I will sort out the Photography Show Group rate with the show which will give us TWO FREE tickets (8 paid and two free.)

Many thanks everyone,

Mike
