It is with great sadness to report that our former Chairman, Treasurer, Competitions and Festival Organiser Ron Harrison, passed away earlier this morning. Many of our members and followers will know Ron and the many years of support he gave Burnley Film Makers. We would like to pass on our respects to Ron's family at this very sad time.

Our new season starts on Wednesday the 9th of September at 7:30 at Higham Village Hall. We welcome any new members wishing to join a friendly, helpful group and members interests range covering the A-Z of film making. Peter Grice, one of Burnley Film Makers longest running members passed away in hospital on Saturday the 4th of July. Peter was an engineer in the toolroom at Lucas Electrical and was a member of BFM since the 1980s. He had been poorly for a while and its sad to report the passing of one of our our oldest members, a smashing bloke and we will all miss him very much.

Please note that there will be no meeting at Higham on Wednesday 15 April when our Awards Evening was to take place. We have a committee meeting on Monday and the date for this event will be re-arranged. Many apologies from the BFM Committee but the cancellation is due to the building work going on at Higham Village Hall.
