Ladies and Gentlemen
From various recent statements by Government officials it seems that 1) the “experts” are no way agreed as to how to deal with this emergency; 2) how it is likely to develop in the next few weeks or 3) what steps need to be taken to safeguard the public.
As a Committee, we have therefore decided that, in the interest of our members, we must terminate our meetings for the rest of the 2019-2020 season. Everyone will therefore be in no doubt as to what is happening. Once things appear to be clearer we can start to plan next season but, just now, I don’t think we can even predict that.
In the interim Mike (S) will make sure that the club website and Facebook are kept up-to-date with any news that we have. Also, whilst the meetings must stop, there is no reason why you film makers cannot wind up your cameras and make some movies. I am going to offer a challenge to our members with the entries being shown via our website but I shall need to discuss this with members of the Committee first.
